Home Carpet Tips

One of the most common problems that our customers call us about, is spills and stains in their carpet.

If you have one of our Servpro spotting kits you can successfully clean many of the spills and spots that happen to your carpet or furniture. If you don't have one of our kits, call us and we'll ship one for $39.95 plus shipping and tax (value of products if purchased separately is $59.95).

Other Tips - What to do until help arrives:
  • Spills should be blotted up with absorbent towels (don't rub the carpet as this will abrade the carpet fibers) - try standing on the towel.
  • After blotting up all you can remove, consult the "spotting wheel" and use the appropriate spotting agent to clean any remaining stain from your carpet.
  • If the spot/spill remains, place a damp towel over the spot (this will prevent drying and setting of the stain before help arrives)
